Baking a good loaf of bread as grandma once baked, has always been a challenge. With the liquid, ready-to-use natural sourdough (on wholegrain basis) from Seitenbacher, you can bake almost everything you want. It gives homemade breads and buns a unique flavor and keeps them fresh for a long time. Important: Warm up (100°F) and knead pouch before opening. Sourdough naturally has a light brown color and a mild sour aroma. An ordinary kitchen oven is the best for baking bread but a bread maker or convection oven works also.

Fill bread maker with:

  1. water – 2. sea salt – 3. one pouch of Seitenbacher sourdough – 4. bread flour – 5. yeast

Recipe for Farmer's bread:

You will need:

  • 1 1/4 cups of luke warm water
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 pouch Seitenbacher sourdough
  • 1 cup rye flour, 1 cup wheat flour (or alternatively 1 lb self-rising flour of your choice)
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast (about 10g)
  1. Combine ingredients to make dough.
  2. Allow to rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Form into loaf and place in prepared baking pan.
  4. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in volume.
  5. Bake in preheated oven at 400°F until brown.

Store in a cool and dry place.
