This French main staple is exceptionally juicy and chocolatey. Crunchy cocoa bean pieces give this cake a special note. Simply add butter and eggs and you too will be able to enjoy your own piece of France within minutes. All baking instructions are in German language.
Translation of the basic instructions:
You need: 10" springform pan, parchment paper. You add: 14 tbs of softened butter, 4 eggs.
- Preheat the oven to 390°F. Slightly grease springform pan and line with parchment paper. In a medium size bowl combine cake mix (Backmischung), butter and eggs and beat on low until well blended, using a hand held mixer. Continue beating on high for 2 minutes until cake batter is smooth.
- Pour batter into the springform pan and bake tarte on bottom rack for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a center placed toothpick/knife comes out clean. Please note that the juiciness of the cake is strongly affected by baking time, the longer the cake remains in the oven the dryer it will get. Carefully separate the tarte from the springform pan, using a butter knife. Place the springform pan on a cooling rack and allow the tarte to cool to room temperature. The Tarte will settle while cooling off.
- To serve the chocolate tarte, simply add a plate on top of the springform pan and flip it over in one swift motion. Remove the parchment paper. Flip over onto a serving platter and enjoy.
